This presentation will address labor and employment legal developments for 2022 and other pressing issues facing employers in Wisconsin and nationwide. Presented virtually, but registration is required.

About the presenters:

Erik Eisenmann

Erik leads the firm’s Labor & Employment practice group and is a trusted partner for clients. He counsels them on compliance with state and federal wage and hour, family and medical leave, and accommodation laws. Erik advises on the development of employee handbooks and workplace policies, counsels employers on employee discipline and discharge issues, and drafts employment contracts, workplace agreements and restrictive covenants (including noncompete, confidentiality and nonsolicitation agreements). Erik frequently represents employers in litigation and has successfully argued motions and appeals in Wisconsin state courts, federal courts in the Eastern and Western District of Wisconsin, and before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Erik recently earned his Diversity and Inclusion Certificate from Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations, a program recognized by PMI, SHRM and HRCI.

Laura Malugade:

Laura represents management in all aspects of labor and employment matters from counseling to litigation and everything in between. Laura has a broad range of experience in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies, including the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Wisconsin Equal Rights Division, the National Labor Relations Board, and the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission. In addition, her advice on drafting workplace policies, contracts and handbooks as well as regarding discipline and discharges, discrimination claims, restrictive covenant agreements, grievance arbitrations and unfair labor practice charges allows clients to keep up to speed with changing laws and compliance regulations. Laura recently earned her Diversity and Inclusion Certificate from Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations, a program recognized by PMI, SHRM and HRCI.
